Our Sport is HYROX
HYROX is a global fitness race for Every Body. Participants from all around the world compete in the exact same format, allowing for a comparable global leaderboard for all athletes. The race format starts with a 1 km run, followed by 1 functional workout, repeated 8 times. With all global races taking place in large indoor venues, a unique stadium-like atmosphere and an incomparable race experience is created for all athletes.
The Sport is Fitness

Fitness is the largest sport in the world and HYROX is the first mass participation event that gives everyday gym-goers their own race to train for. HYROX bridges the gap between traditional endurance events and functional fitness, to create the race format for everybody.
Mass Participation
HYROX is truly accessible for everybody. With 4 different race categories across 10 divisions differing in weight and rep schemes and subcategorized by age, there is an option for everyone independent of your fitness level or experience:
Open – take on HYROX for a challenging but achievable race for everyone.
Pro – for the experienced racer, take on the Pro category with heavier weights to make for a more challenging experience.
Not quite ready to take on the full HYROX on your own? Why not share the experience in our Doubles or Relay division!
Doubles – find a partner and take on the challenge as a pair, running together but splitting the workload of each functional workout.
Relay – take on the full HYROX race as a team of four where each member of the team completes 2 x 1km runs & 2 functional workouts.
Global Results and Ranking
All participants wear a timing chip and receive official finishing times, with comparable results via HYROX’s global rankings across all events, divisions and age groups. With a detailed post-race report, you can analyse all your split times for each functional workout & run, allowing you to train & race smarter next time.
