Jake works alongside Mat Fraser to write programming for the HWPO Flagship, 60, Pro, and Classic programs. Through the years, he has studied various programming methods, testing them on himself and those he’s trained. He has honed the ability to speak to, and help the most advanced, as well as inexperienced athletes.
He brings practical knowledge to programming through years of experience as a coach and an athlete.
Most recently, Jake assisted Mat Fraser and the HWPO Training team in coaching HWPO PRO Athlete Jayson Hopper to a 7th-place finish at the 2022 CrossFit Games.
“The Coaches’s Responsibility.”
Being a coach or trainer who works with individuals on a daily basis, requires us to be aware that we sit in a position of authority, in one way or another, to the people that we are hired by. With this authority comes the responsibility to do our best for the client.
What you will learn from Jake:
• You will examine the mechanics of how we earn clients trust, how to act in accordance with this trust we are given (it is not alway earned)
• Strategies to examine our own behaviour to align with our clients best interests.
• You will learn about Humility, Surplus Value, and how our bias for consistency gets in the way of professional growth.
