Meet The Team
“Forging Elite Business,” Coaches Congress is an event for box and gym owners, fitness trainers and coaches, to exchange ideas, gain business skills and be inspired by mentors via seminars and workshops.
It all started as a gathering of 80 Scandinavian affiliate owners & coaches in Stockholm in 2014. Over 10 years later it has grown to what we believe to be the largest, independent, educational event for gym owners & coaches in Europe within the Functional Fitness and CrossFit segment. In December 2022 we took a step outside of the Nordics to successfully organise the first CC Berlin event.
The main difference between CC and most of the other events and competitions in this industry, is that we attract and cater for highly motivated gym owners and coaches that want to learn more about how to run a professional AND profitable gym or fitness business.
Our principles are:
Create a fitness and education event that is entertaining and informative, but feels intimate and local.
Deliver educational content from global thought leaders, but give participants the opportunity to discuss and solve more local concerns.
Henrik Almers
In 2018 Henrik Almers partnered with Per in order to continue to develop Coaches Congress further. Henrik is a co-owner of the Spanish based coaching business “You. Just Stronger”, an OPEX ambassador, and has many years of experience starting up and operating businesses in the travel, tourism, and leisure industry. Henrik is an entrepreneur that contributes with his vast business, marketing and sales knowledge.
Henrik is the CEO for Coaches Congress.
Per Mattsson
Per Mattsson, founder of Coaches Congress, co-owns several CrossFit boxes in Sweden. He has been active in CrossFit since 2009, and from early on he got involved in questions regarding the development of the community.
He realised that it was not only about liking to workout when trying to create a solid company for himself, his coaches, and members. By hosting Coaches Congress, Per wanted to create a platform for coaches and owners to develop and learn more.
Per is also a highly regarded TwoBrain Business mentor.
Heather Almers
Heather Almers officially joined in 2023, although she has been working behind the scenes since 2018.
She is an OPEX coach, certified nutritionist, and co-owner of a coaching business in Spain. Having run her own tour operator business specialized in Scuba Diving for nearly 20 years, Heather applies her knowledge to help with the logistics and planning of the event.
Heather is the COO for Coaches Congress, and is in charge of putting on the Stockholm and Berlin events.
Daria Radman
Daria’s coaching journey began 7 years ago with her CrossFit L1 certification. With a degree in kinesitherapy and exercise science, she is meticulous about coaching. Supported by 3 years of mentorship by Two-Brain Business, she handles the business dynamics required to run a successful gym.
Daria is a sales rep for Coaches Congress, utilising her expertise and experience to help fitness professionals and gym owners. With her unique skill set she remains involved in the gym to help people reach their goals, while being dedicated to advancing the fitness industry through her role at Coaches Congress.
Elinora Almers
Elinora has been working as a social media manager within the gym industry for the past two years, and will take over the position for Coaches Congress, utilising her expertise and experience from the fitness world.
She also works part-time at a local gym, while finishing off her high school diploma.
Anders Malm
Anders has photographed for competitions and brands internationally in the CrossFit space since 2018, and has photographed for CF media at the games and semi-finals. Anders previously worked as a media manager for Throwdown Events.

Niclas Ericsson
Niklas has worked internationally with competitions and brands both in photography and video. He has also run a CrossFit box in Sweden, and is a trained Naprapath.
